On March 8, 2011, Mayor Greg Fischer, in acknowledgement of Louisville’s growing paddling community, announced the addition of paddling to what had been previously known as the Mayor’s Hike & Bike. The event has been renamed the “Mayor’s Hike, Bike & Paddle! Bravo, Mayor Fischer!

Skipping Fish Boat School made and presented the Mayor with a Greenland paddle on behalf of Louisville’s paddling community. The Mayor will also be initiating the building of a community kayak that will be built by the Mayor and members of the community at Skipping Fish Boat School…I suppose that means the Mayor can add “boatbuilding” to his list of skills and accomplishments!
