Kimberly,
I want to thank you for donating the hand built wood frame and skin kayak to the Kentucky Water Association for a fund raisor/raffle at the Film Festival this spring. I am the lucky winner. I am an avid canoer, but have never been in a kayak other than a stroll down the beach on a “sit on top” kayak on vacation.
Last year, using “Canoe Craft” by Ted Moores, I built a wood strip canoe. I have a great appreciation for the time, effort, skill and craftsmanship necessary to build this kayak. I will treat it accordingly.
I would love to visit your school when you are in session and learn/share some techniques I learned in my build. I have included my Facebook link, https://www.facebook.com/#!/wm.curry?sk=photos
so you can check out my wood canoe and paddles.
Thank you again for the kayak,
Bill Curry 859-361-4604
You make it look so easy. It is a different roll than the one I learned. But I like it, and hope to learn how.
